1221 Mercantile Lane Medical Office Building
With a plan for sizable facility expansion and sustainable site improvements, our surveying, engineering and environmental designers are putting their skills to work to ensure most appropriate designs and necessary permitting are fully addressed.
AMT is providing comprehensive civil engineering and surveying services associated with the expansion of the Kaiser Permanente Center in Largo into a medical office building that includes an ambulatory surgery center, 24-hour urgent care and new MRI imaging centers and more than 235,000 square feet of medical offices, examination rooms, and state-of-the-art medical facilities. The site improvements include a new parking structure for 700 vehicles and sustainable site development including six microbioretention facilities and a grass swale, meeting the State of Maryland’s new Environmental Site Design Criteria.
We are pursuing planning approvals through Maryland-National Capital Planning Commission and providing all site engineering and site permitting through Prince Georges County, Soils Conservation District and Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.
The expansion is expected to open in the summer of 2013 and will be Kaiser Permanente’s largest medical center in the mid-Atlantic region.
