Parks, Recreational & Athletic Facilities

We Focus On Safety And Fun

AMT serves our recreational facility clients in many ways. Not only do we design state-of-the art turf and artificial surfaces with player safety and comfort in mind, but we also design lighting and irrigation systems to ensure player safety and field durability. For more casual park-goers, we’re adept with designing for playgrounds, water features and all forms of site access.

It’s More than Just Turf

AMT’s Athletic Fields Team, comprised of licensed professional engineers, landscape architects, certified turf specialists and surveyors has the experience to design the field that best meets our clients’ needs. The team also contains stormwater management specialists who understand the stormwater management regulations in all of the jurisdictions we serve. Our designers are well versed in the ever-evolving industry of natural grass and synthetic turf field design and construction as evidenced by one of our designs once having been named the College Soccer Field of the Year by the Sports Turf Management Association.

Our clients represent all levels of government as well as both public and private educational institutions.

We also maintain excellent relationships with some of the nation’s leading sports architects, synthetic turf manufacturers, turf component manufactures and the nation’s best turf contractors. We work closely with them to incorporate key elements such as safety, performance, layout, drainage, and environmental considerations into our designs.

It’s Also for Child’s Play and Grown-Up Leisure

Whether master planning for overall park layout or providing engineering solutions for specific elements, we consider the desires of park visitors of all ages and abilities.  In addition to athletic fields, our portfolio includes many children’s playgrounds, water fountains, picnic areas and plazas, footpaths and creative plantings.  Children need to play, and that means all children. We’re accustomed to designing and retrofitting for ADA compliance so that all who are inclined may access and enjoy our community parks and related facilities.
