We Have a Regional Understanding
Infrastructure projects in our region’s airports are interrelated. Understanding the details of one project at a given airport can expedite the next project at that airport. AMT’s personnel have provided consulting services for more than 50 projects at area airports.
Flying Above the Competition
AMT has supported the design of numerous airport facilities including runways, taxiways, concourses and control towers. Our work has involved planning studies and design of the needed infrastructure to support aviation facilities including utility extensions, drainage, roadways, parking areas and environmental controls. We have further supported the designs of aircraft parking aprons, taxiway extensions, airfield pavement replacement, site access control and hangar repair.
We have had a hand in projects for all of the three major metropolitan Baltimore-Washington regional airports in recent years and have gained considerable expertise in both civilian and military aviation-related disciplines—our team has provided services on some major projects, such as:
- The new air traffic control tower, Automated People Mover and dedicated fire system among others at Dulles International Airport
- The Terminal A Rehabilitation at Reagan National Airport, and
- Road Projects and a stormwater management study at Baltimore Washington International Airport.
This experience has given AMT personnel extensive familiarity with industry design standards and regulations as well as FAA requirements as well as the standards and procedures of the local airport authorities and applicable local review agencies. We are eager and able to handle all of your aviation-related needs.
