Construction Project Management

The Best Client Service in the Industry

We are widely recognized as a leader in the field of construction management, inspection and materials testing and have proudly participated in some of the most complex projects throughout the mid-Atlantic region.  Our construction managers are well trained and experienced, able to navigate and direct complex processes and foster relationships that help get the job done efficiently.

We offer Comprehensive Management Services

Comprehensive construction management services begin before a project is designed.  Our team provides assistance with permitting, agency approvals, budgeting, scheduling, project information system development, and A/E selection assistance.

As the project gets going, our construction management team refines the management plan, provides pre-construction plan reviews, schedules and plans pre-construction conferences and conducts pre-construction site visits and on-site progress meetings.

We conduct contract document reviews and constructability reviews prior to bidding.  During procurement, we assist the owner by analyzing contractors’ or design-builders’ submissions to verify responsiveness and make award recommendation.

During construction, our on-site construction manager assumes full responsibility. We manage the contract and interact with the owner’s staff, the contractor, A/E firms, and other stakeholders as a true extension of the owner’s staff. We track contractor activities, project schedules, payment schedules, project costs and item quantities, addenda to contract documents, and materials sampling and testing information.  We review change order and contractor schedule submittals and make recommendations. We log and process Requests for Information of the owner and submittals by the engineer.

We take seriously the importance of safety and regulatory compliance during construction.  We monitor and document all work for compliance with federal and state environmental permits and regulations, perform safety audits, and we provide OSHA 10- and 30-Hour Safety and Confined Space Training, as appropriate. We also develop Emergency Response Plans.

In post-construction, we document any incomplete or non-conforming work on a punch list and, once the contractor has addressed these outstanding items, perform a final inspection to ensure compliance. We provide the client as-built revisions and documents, and finally, provide complete project close-out information and transfer of project records.

From pre-design to post-construction, AMT’s construction manager will be a trusted advisor, adding tremendous value to the entire project process. We have successfully added value on an array of projects ranging from small building additions to multi-million dollar interstate highway programs.
