AMT I-495 Project Honored

AMT is honored to have been part of the project team on the I-495 Express Lanes project which has been recognized by Engineering News Record – Mid Atlantic twice. The first award is ENR’s Safety Project of the Year – Mid-Atlantic category. The second is a Merit Award in the Highways and Bridges category. AMT was a part of the safety team that provided the safety management oversight on behalf of the Virginia Department of Transportation throughout the course of this project. The project achieved 5 million hours without a lost time incident. AMT’s David H. Law, P.E. and Carolyn Wolcott both work on the five Virginia Megaprojects, which include the Express Lanes. David created the overall safety plan for the whole program and Carolyn Wolcott serves at its Civil Rights Program Manager. The projects together total more than $6 billion.
