AMT is currently providing project development and preliminary design services to NCDOT to replace four bridges in Division 11. The scope of work includes project planning and scoping, natural environmental analysis, cultural resource analysis, human environment analysis, community studies, hydraulic study, capacity analysis, NEPA document preparation, public involvement, and preliminary roadway design.
AMT’s relevant tasks include requesting and reviewing previous studies, forecasts and evaluations completed by the Transportation Planning Branch, Congestion Management, and other NCDOT branches; performing hydraulic studies; conducting field reviews and Scoping Meetings; preparing preliminary functional and alternative designs; and applying for and obtaining all water quality, encroachment & sediment control permits. In response to NCDOT’s desire to fast track the projects, AMT expedited the completion of the environmental documentation and functional design plans for two of the bridge projects (B-4683 & B-4686) and the other two have been assigned to AMT to complete final design plans and other associated tasks.
