AMT Welcomes Stormwater Program Manager

Rockville, Md. — AMT is pleased to announce that Ginny Snead, P.E. has joined the firm as a Stormwater Program Manager and will be based in the firm’s new Williamsburg, Virginia office. She will champion AMT’s water resources efforts regionally.

 Snead comes to AMT with over 20 years of experience specializing in water resources with a combination of environmental consulting and state government regulatory experience. She previously directed Virginia’s Office of Stormwater at the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and managed the Office of Regulatory Programs the Department of Conservation of Recreation (DCR).  Prior to state government, she served in a consulting project manager role for 14 years managing a variety of large and small environmental projects including on-call water resources engineering services, water and wastewater engineering, solid waste, policy development, stormwater utility development, brownfields, hazardous waste, and risk assessment.

 “Ginny has a solid reputation in the industry for both high-level and detailed understanding of environmental regulations and environmental engineering design. We’re excited to have her join AMT, providing related knowledge, leadership, and technical expertise,” notes AMT president, Mike Wiercinski, P.E. 

 Ms. Snead serves on several US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Chesapeake Bay Program Work Groups, the Urban Stormwater Work Group and the Trading and Offsets Work Group. She obtained her Master of Science degree in environmental engineering and policy from Johns Hopkins University.  Her Bachelor of Science degree was achieved at the University of Virginia with an environmental science focus.  Snead is a licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia and Maryland.
