AMT is providing traffic data collection services for an on-call contract with NCDOT/Transportation Mobility and Safety Division (TMSD), which includes the following types of data: Turning Movement Counts including ped/bike; Bi-Directional Volume/Speed/Class Roadway Counts (both 2-day and weeklong); and Bi-Directional Volume/Speed/Class on roadways at railroad crossings (2-day). AMT uses a variety of methods to complete the counts.
At each site, field sheets are completed and pictures are taken in all directions. All the submittals are Excel-based and compiled into a fine-tuned report after the completion of AMT’s QA/QC process.
