AMT’s McHenry/Thayerville Water System Connection received a Merit Award from ACEC Metropolitan Washington
Company News | December 8, 2022
AMT provided engineering services to install approximately 5,500 feet of 10-inch water main across Deep Creek Lake to establish the Deep Creek Lake Water System. AMT designed the water and sewer main plan and profiles, provided traffic control and erosion and sediment control, as well as surveying and easement plats along with construction phase assistance. The Deep Creek Lake Water System connected the McHenry Water System located north of Garrett Highway (US-219) Bridge to the Thayerville Water System located south of Garrett Highway Bridge. The interconnection of the Thayerville Water System with the McHenry Water System now provides water during high daily demands and adequate fire protection to the McHenry Water System. The economic and safety impacts are significant to this area of high tourist use which supports the local economy. Congratulations to Jerry Kavadias, Ranjith Ravindiran, and the whole AMT team on this award win!
