Aaron Smith Promoted to Vice President

Aaron currently serves as a Director of our Site Civil business unit with oversight of municipal and private clients, as well as our Landscape Architecture group. He has built a growing practice and assembled a strong team of professionals that collectively have contributed to the successful growth of the company driven by a desire to work on projects that directly impact communities, whether it be a neighborhood park, library, faith-based organization, or public or private school. His project experience includes projects from the expansion and renovation of the H. Carl Moultrie Courthouse in Washington, DC and the Brendan Iribe Center for Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Maryland, to site improvements for parks and schools as part of on-call contracts throughout MD, DC, and VA. Aaron has 26 years of experience in site design and engineering services and has been with AMT for 21 years. Aaron currently serves on the Board of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Metropolitan Washington (ACEC/MW). He earned his Master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He is a certified LEED Accredited Professional and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
