John Farrell Promoted to Associate

John has 26 years of environmental planning and permitting experience involving federal, state, municipal, and private clients. John is based in AMT’s Richmond office and leads projects involving wetland and stream delineation/classification and permitting in Virginia and the southeast region. Additionally, he manages NEPA document preparation, threatened and endangered species and cultural resources coordination, and environmental restoration design for environmentally sensitive areas. John is an avid outdoor enthusiast with interests in native plants, wildlife, hiking, cycling, and gardening. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies and Planning, and Environmental Management from the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). John is active with the Central Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association (AICP) and is a certified planner and a certified environmental planner (CEP) through the American Institute of Certified Planners.
