AMT Welcomes Chad Toney, PE

With twenty-six (26) years of broad engineering experience, Chad will serve AMT as Director for West Virginia Transportation and operate as the primary client liaison to the West Virginia Department of Transportation (WVDOT). His comprehensive career portfolio includes a distinguished tenure with the WVDOT, which he held essential leadership positions to include Director of Right-of-Way Division, Senior Project Manager, Engineer of Record, and In-House Design Section Head, among other senior roles.

Chad holds a Bachelor of Science graduating with honors in Civil Engineering from the West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVIT) and is a licensed Professional Engineer in West Virginia. In his role, Chad is responsible for directing the firm’s transportation practice, with a focus on enhancing relationships with the WVDOT, local governments, and private sector clients. He will also oversee the firm’s roadway design and traffic engineering teams in the Charleston and Parkersburg offices, while managing contract administration and project delivery. He actively contributes to his community as a member of the Boone County Parks and Recreation Board.
