AMT is pleased to announce that Tom Roberts has joined the Christiansburg, VA office.

Tom will serve as a Senior Project Manager in the Environmental & Water Resources Division with an emphasis on dam engineering projects. With nearly 40 years of dam engineering experience, Tom has contributed to the development of dam safety regulations, led extensive training sessions for dam owners throughout Virginia, and authored papers and presentations on dam safety. His career spans a broad spectrum of roles, including serving as the Regional Stormwater Engineer for the VA DCR, the VA DCR Regional Dam Safety Engineer, as well as private sector roles in various capacities.
He obtained his BS in Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech in 1986 and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Virginia as well as a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM). Tom is also a DEQ certified combined Erosion Control and Stormwater facility inspector. Tom is a longtime board member of the Virginia Lakes and Watersheds Association, where he enthusiastically contributed to the VLWA for 24 years.
