Celebrating 20 Years of Impact: AMT LLC Marks Two Decades of Excellence in the District of Columbia

Washington, D.C., September 15, 2025 – AMT LLC (AMT) proudly commemorates its 20th anniversary marking two decades of service, excellence, and partnerships throughout the District of Columbia. Founded in 2005 by the principals of A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT Inc.), AMT was established with a clear and focused mission to meet the unique and evolving needs of D.C. clients through purpose-driven solutions.

As a 100% employee-owned, multidisciplinary firm, AMT has become a trusted leader in the region, delivering innovative solutions in site and infrastructure civil engineering, surveying/SUE, landscape architecture, utility coordination and design, roadway design, traffic engineering, water resources, and GIS. With over 50 professionals and technicians, and seamless access to the broader AMT Inc. network of 500 personnel, AMT has cultivated expertise to successfully deliver projects all around the District.

The firm contributed to the development of The Wharf, a transformative 3.5 million-square-foot mixed-use destination encompassing residential, hospitality, office, retail, dining, and cultural spaces, as well as the redevelopment of the St. Elizabeths Campus. AMT’s experience spans interagency coordination by engaging with key District and Federal stakeholders such as DOB, DDOT, DOEE, DC Water, DCSO, WMATA, as well as all Federal agencies. This institutional knowledge and established relationships ensure streamlined permitting processes and accelerated project timelines for projects on private, District of Columbia, and Federal land and within all military installations within the District.
