Don Rissmeyer Promoted to Senior Associate

Don serves as a Director in the Environmental & Water Resources business unit leading business development and client relations throughout multiple states with a focus on Virginia municipal clients. He maintains a client focused approach with projects encompassing municipal engineering, stormwater management, dam assessment & design, environmental permitting, sidewalks, and recreational trails among others. Don has strong experience with hydraulic engineering, including the regulations, processes, and use of best management practices including green infrastructure BMP’s and is a frequent presenter at environmental conferences. He is a Past President of the Virginia Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Virginia Floodplain Management Association, including 33 years of progressive experience, including spending the last 17 years with AMT growing the firm’s municipal and state agency contracts throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia and is a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) through the Association of State Floodplain Managers. Don is also a licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
