Laura Mehiel Promoted to Senior Associate

Laura currently serves as Director of Transportation for the Northeast Region which consists of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia. In this role, Laura serves as client manager for major multi-discipline and major highway projects throughout the region. She overseas project managers, business development, and develops and implements strategic planning. Over her 12 years with AMT, Laura has contributed to the growth of the firm by procuring and delivering some of the firm’s largest transportation infrastructure design projects. Notable projects include the US 219 interchange with I-68 in western MD, Southgate Interchange near Blacksburg, and Route 1 at Ft Belvoir. In total, she has 37 years of professional experience including 12 years with AMT and is adept at managing large highway and multi-discipline transportation projects. She earned her BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware. Laura is active with the American Council of Engineering Companies – Maryland (ACEC/MD) and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
