AMT designed a new maintenance yard with vehicular and pedestrian circulation for staff and buses, relocated a perimeter security wall, and performed storm water management site grading and drainage, and surveying and utility coordination.
AMT was honored to be chosen by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to work on such a revered site as Arlington National Cemetery, burial place of presidents and our nation’s military heroes.
For the Cemetery, AMT designed a new maintenance yard with vehicular and pedestrian circulation for staff and buses and a perimeter security wall. We also performed the storm water management, site grading, drainage and utility coordination. For this distinguished task, we carefully selected plants that offered seasonal color, texture and visual harmony to reflect the surrounding architecture and landscape between structures, parking and the existing landscape. In addition, we seamlessly integrated the planting design into a rain garden system using a series of planting borders and minimized water usage using the latest technology in irrigation design and components to minimize water use on the site.
