Druid Hill Park Neighborhood Access Program, Baltimore, MD
AMT provided transportation planning and Streetscape design services to Baltimore City Recreation and Parks to improve safety, pedestrian access, and neighborhood connectivity in the historic Druid Hill Park community. The project included improvements along a one-mile section of Swann Drive adjacent to Druid Hill Park, from Gwynns Falls Parkway to Eutaw Place, including key intersections along Auchentoroly Terrace, Madison Avenue, McCulloh Street, and Druid Park Lake Drive.
This project required significant safety and ADA improvements at 4 intersections, minor roadway reconstruction and resurfacing, signal modifications, streetscape design, utility coordination, interconnecting sidewalks, and the restoration of the historic stone archway associated with the streetscape. Extensive coordination was required with the City DOT and SHA.
