The award-winning Olde Town Youth Center is a new 6,600 square-foot center that has earned LEED-Platinum certification from the US Green Building Council. The contractor, Warner Construction, sought AMT’s comprehensive surveying, civil engineering and landscape architectural expertise for the center which was constructed where an existing building was demolished.
AMT prepared the water, sewer, and storm drain utility plans and coordinated the power, gas, and communication utilities on the site plan including approvals and permits. We also performed the landscape architecture which included green roof elements, foundation plantings, and planter beds.
This project has won a number of awards including the USGBC-MD Wintergreen Award for Sustainable Buildings, the 2010 National ABC Excellence in Construction – Pyramid Award, the ABC Awards 1st Place Category F-1 – Institutional, and a Grand Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Maryland.
