Towson University West Village Parking Garage
Towson, MD
AMT provided the complete design for construction of centralized utility, infrastructure and site improvements to support the planned expansion of the West Village precinct of the Towson University campus. Infrastructure improvements that included roadways, traffic safety and operational controls, including the “four S’s, namely, signage, signalization, striping and street lighting”, service drives and parking improvements as per the facility program. Our Team prepared a signal warrant study addressing existing and future conditions. The future conditions consisted of ten (10) new residence halls, 1,600-space parking garage, and dining hall/grocery store.
Based on the projected growth in its enrollment over 10 years, Towson University recognized that its number one objective for the project was to provide an integrated system of utility, infrastructure and site improvements that efficiently and effectively works together to support the Phase 1 housing project and the programmed build-out of the entire West Village Precinct.
