AMT provided in-depth bridge inspection, condition evaluation, design, and preparation of construction documents for the replacement of dual, parallel bridges are 358’ long, 3-span, steel plate girder structures with a non-composite concrete deck. The new bridge deck was designed composite for strength. It utilized low permeability concrete and enough scuppers to prevent premature deterioration. The roadway approach was improved by replacing the guardrails, milling and new pavement. The design included construction staging, maintaining one lane of traffic in each direction during construction.
