WVDOT McClanahan Bridge (CR38/1 over Pocatalico River) Design-Build, Hurricane, WV
AMT is leading the design and preparation of construction documents for replacing the existing structure with a two-span, prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge. The existing structure is a six-span rolled steel beam bridge. The new bridge will be supported by integral cast-in-place reinforced concrete abutments founded on steel H-piles and a reinforced concrete multi-column pier founded on drilled shafts.
The proposed structure will have a new reinforced concrete deck with F-shape barriers on each side. The bridge will be built in a single construction phase along the same alignment. AMT is responsible for full engineering design of the structure including; structural engineering, highway engineering, traffic control, right-of-way plans, hydrology and hydraulics, and surveying.
