Maintenance of Traffic
AMT has substantial experience preparing and reviewing maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans for a variety of transportation projects throughout the eastern United States, from Interstate facilities involving multi-phase lane closures, to rural two-lane highways with flagging operations. We understand the importance of maintaining a work zone that not only allows for the flow of traffic and trying to maintain traffic capacity, but also the issues related to the safety of the workers, vehicles, and pedestrians during the construction phase. The team also has staff that has been certified in local DOT Work Zone Traffic Control Certification processes. AMT’s familiarity with the MUTCD allows us to select the most appropriate traffic control measure, correctly apply the plan to the project at hand, and make any adjustments based on unusual local conditions. AMT is qualified to review MOT plans prepared by others, originate MOT plans for projects designed by others, or create MOT plans to be included in a plan set designed by us
