Company News | August 8, 2025

ROCKVILLE, MD – A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) has been recognized as one of The Washington Post’s 2025 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. region. AMT ranked #34, in the midsize company category out of 250 organizations honored for exceptional workplace culture and employee engagement.
“Being named a Top Workplace by The Washington Post is especially meaningful as we celebrate AMT’s 70th anniversary this year,” said Rich Khalil, AMT CEO. “As a 100% employee-owned firm, this honor reflects the strength of our workplace culture and the commitment our employees have to each other, our clients, stakeholders, consultant partners, and the communities we serve.”
Top Workplaces honorees are selected based entirely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC. The survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
AMT’s expertise spans five core practices: Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI), Transportation, Site & Infrastructure, Environmental & Water Resources, and Surveying/SUE. With a highly collaborative approach and industry-leading talent, members of these practices work together to bring complex projects to life.
This recognition highlights the values of collaboration and excellence that have guided the firm for seven decades and continue to shape its future. For more information about AMT and opportunities to join our team, visit Home – AMT Engineering or Careers – AMT Engineering.
